Libraries as facilitators of e-learning in digital era: with slant to Agricultural Education.

Abstract

Information communication technologies (ICT) have brought psychological, sociological as well as technological changes in the field of education. The most recent boon of ICT has its own very special impact on education. The online learning has rejuvenated the basic concept of education and its mode of delivery. E-learning is becoming influential force in higher education and libraries are considered to be the best facilitator of e-learning. This article discuss briefly the concept of e-learning, role of libraries in e-learning , services and facilities provided by agricultural libraries which are helpful in providing e-learning environment and promoting e-culture.
