Open Source Software using NewgenLib: A Case Study

Abstract

Library automation is the one of the essential key activities of any library irrespective its size, and it has duty of serving better to its dependents so that library has to concentrate about its services and facilities. The well planned structure of library activities will provide better results, and helps to achieve benchmarking performance. The automation of library functions is very important and inevitable, to cope up with existing environment, keeping in mind that, the information needs of students and faculties, developed a well planned services and facilities through implementing of Newgenlib a library management software to automate the library functions and to help the staffs and patrons.
