Role of University Libraries in Support of Research in Electronic Era: A Case Study

Abstract

The present study confined to Utkal University, Sambalpur University and Berhampur University and aims to discussing and identifying the present situation of the library and to suggest ways and means of improving the library system in connection with dissemination of information to support the research activities in the electronic era. It also included the assessment of existing library services in the present electronic information resources era. In the present study, the questionnaire method has been adopted to collect information from research scholars working in various departments in science. The suggestions given by the research scholars of universities are disscussed.
