Implementation of Koha Open Source Integrated Library System in Indian Libraries: An analytical study

Abstract



OSILS (Open source Integrated Library System) has changed the dimension of library and information profession. Koha is one of the full featured OSILS that has been widely adopted and supported by various libraries throughout India for the last two decades. The present study aims to asses the development and adoption of Koha OSILS in Indian libraries and measure the level of statisfaction of Koha users with its functional moduels and features. Through an online survey, the study involves 80 Indian libraries to unfold their experiences with Koha and present their perspectives of OSILS.
