Preservation of Manuscripts in Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute, Jodhpur: An Investigation

Abstract

Study of manuscripts is an important aspect for human life. Manuscript is an informative source to developmental research activities, gain knowledge about origin of civilization, our cultural and traditional thoughts which are described through our ancestor’s knowledge in the form of manuscripts. The collection and preservation of manuscripts is valuable thought for our future generation. This paper highlights the collection development, preservation procedure of manuscripts in Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute, Jodhpor, Rajasthan, NMM role for preservation procedures and summarized the effectiveness of preservation policy through its preservation centers in Rajasthan.
