Research Output of Intellectual Property Rights With Reference To Indian Science Abstracts: A Bibliometric Study

Abstract



Bibliometric is an emerging thrust research area of Library and Information Science. In this Present study is an analysis of research output of publications in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) from online Indian Science Abstracts index. The bibliographic records for the analysis are limited to the articles in the field of Intellectual Property Rights published during (IPR) 2003 -2014. There were a total of 480 entries on Intellectual Property Rights, analysed on year wise growth of publications, authorship, ranking of journals and etc. Authorship pattern shows that single authored papers (63.84%) are more as compared overall multiple authored papers (36.15%). the average length wise distribution of articles shows that majority of articles 267 (55.63%) have the length of 6-10 words.
