Utilization of Library Resources and Services in the Select Management Institutes: A Study

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the level of awareness and use of library resources and services by the students of the select management institutes of Aligarh.
A well-structured questionnaire was administered to the students of the select management institutes of Aligarh, i.e., ABIMS, SSITM and MIMU of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India to collect the necessary data regarding the resources and services of the libraries. The study reveals that most of the students are aware of resources and services of libraries and most of the students use them to consult their course material. Most of the students seek assistance of library staff while searching a document and are satisfied with their issue system. The present study consists only resources and services of libraries and the geographical area is restricted to the select management institutes of Aligarh. . There are a number of studies on the utilization of library resources and services, but this is the original study done on management institutes of Aligarh. As such, it should pave the way for use and awareness of library resources and services in management institute of Aligarh as well as elsewhere.
