Use of Electronic Information Sources (EIS) by Faculty Members in Nigerian Universities

Abstract

This paper investigates the use of electronic information source among faculty members in Nigerian universities .Simple random technique was used to select one thousand and four hundred faculty members from the four universities in the country. Questionnaires were used as the main instrument of gathering data. The findings revealed that majority of the faculty members were using the electronic information sources, mostly for research purposes. Recommendations were basically that university managements should provide electronic information sources in all arms of the universities and the need for adequate funding for the development of electronic information sources in all the universities in the country.
