The Impact of Qualification on Legislators and Their Information Utilization

Abstract

The study investigates the impact of qualification on legislators and their information utilization in Benue state. The target population in this study consisted of all elected legislators in Benue state numbering 365 members. This research was carried out in between 2004 -2005 and analysis was based on frequency counts. The research however, examined the impact of legislators’ qualifications and shows a positive impact between legislators’ qualification on their information utilization. The finding shows the value obtained is greater than the t-critical value of df, at 0.05 level significance, the null hypothesis is therefore rejected.
